WAXWINGS MEAN IT'S GETTING FROSTY

Cedar Waxwing says, "Get out your longjohns!"

When an unusually large number of waxwings appeared along the east coast of Scotland and England, it means traditionally that a cold winter was on its way. The plump, crested birds, about the size of a starling, love berries. When there are failures of the berry crops in their native Scandinavia, the waxwings head for the UK in search of food.

Whether the birds are also fans of Chuck Berry isn't known.
